How to Write Company Histories...
that Help You Win More Business
Proposal Training Class
Most Company Histories Are Boring. Make Yours Compelling.
Most company histories are boring. Really boring. And most of the time, they don’t get read by reviewers. What if you could turn this typically boring piece of proposal content into a compelling story that reviewers read?
This class shows you how to write company histories so they are both engaging and appeal to the unique interests of each buyer.
What students will learn
RFPs typically ask sellers to include a company history or a company backgrounder in their proposals. They do this because they want to know you’re a real business, an ongoing concern, and you have some history. Despite this, they do NOT want to know everything that’s every happened to you since your company was founded in the middle 1800’s.
In response, most sellers rely on a cut-n-paste static document, a canned company history that is almost completely seller-centric. It’s also, typically, very boring. Compliant, but boring. And almost never read.
What if, instead, you could provide reviewers with a company history that is compelling, enjoyable to read, and focused on the same type of project the buyer is currently procuring?
This class teaches precisely that. Students learn how to write company histories so they align with buyer interests. It’s less about you and your history since you were founded, it’s more about your experience delivering exactly the kind of projects they’re buying.
Compliant is important. Compliant and compelling is better. Be both.
